Eternal Build were contacted on behalf of the school to tender for the complete refurbishment of an existing toilet block separated between 2 floors and to provide new vinyl flooring, decorations and grid ceilings to the changing rooms in the sports hall building and corridors.
The first part of the works involved refurbishment to an existing ‘boys’ and separate ‘girls’ toilet area, to create 2 new mixed-use spaces.
To accommodate regulations, the existing toilet spaces were demolished and reconfigured to ensure the new cubicles could be incorporated including the appropriate ambulant and disabled toilet space.
The successful tender included full strip out, alterations to existing partitions, reconfiguration including new walls, first and second fix carpentry, ceilings, flooring, plastering, cubicles, electrical works, plumbing, sanitaryware and decorations.
Due to the secondary school nature of the works, compact grade laminate (CGL) cubicles were installed for their robust and waterproof nature.
Running concurrent to the toilet block works, Eternal Build managed and completed the replacement vinyl and decorations to the communal corridors in the sports hall building and also replaced the ceilings to the changing rooms which had previously been vandalised and damaged.
