About this Project

Eternal Build were asked to tender for the structural alteration works at a property on Queen Anne Street in London.

The private customer had acquired the property with a vision and commitment to turn it into a cosmetic surgery clinic.

To achieve his goals and form the operating theatres and associated rooms, the property needed lots of structural alterations, Eternal Build completed the knock throughs, installation of new steelwork and making good to the openings as well as saw cutting and breaking out concrete slabs to install new services.

Due to the thickness of the masonry walls, the new steelwork lintels were bespoke and formed of I beams and steel plates which were welded on site.

What made these works particularly challenging, apart from being in the centre of London, was that the new openings were formed at basement level which meant all the rubble and new materials needed to be transported to ground floor and vice versa.
